2012 MENTOR OF THE YEAR

Phebe Blitz, RDH, an Arizona dental hygiene educator, was presented with the Philips Sonicare/RDH Mentor of the Year Award at the American Dental Hygienists' Association's annual meeting in June.

Gail Stoops, RDH, the senior manager of professional relations for Philips, presented the award to Blitz (left), and Pamela Quinones, RDH, ADHA past president (right), also spoke at the ceremony. Stoops also commended (left to right) Nancy Burkhart, RDH, Lynne Slim, RDH, and Winnie Furnari, RDH, as Mentors of Distinction.

Kristen Simmons, RDH (yellow jacket at left), the 2006 Mentor of the Year, and Anne Guignon, RDH (pink jacket at right) the 2004 Mentor of the Year, also attended the 2012 ceremony.
