As a student: "Andi" graduated from the Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, N.C., in 2009. "I started working as a chairside trained dental assistant in 2004. After learning the clerical and clinical duties of the office, I no longer felt challenged. I decided to go back to dental hygiene school in 2007 so I could see my own patients and make a big impact in their oral health."

On a daily basis:She works at the Carolinas Center for Oral Health. "I am continuously learning about new oral conditions and routine management techniques for my patients. In my career, oral medicine involves an advanced side of dentistry, such as evaluating oral lesions, temporal mandibular joint disorders, and conditions that cause oral dryness such as autoimmune diseases and radiation therapy."

About me: She is engaged to be married next year to David Cline. "In my spare time I like to spend time with my family. I have three sisters, whom I am very close with, and two new twin nieces. They are wonderful."
