As a student: I graduated in 1999 from William Rainey Harper College in Palatine, Ill. Five years later, I returned to school to complete my bachelor’s degree at the University of St. Francis. I’m also certified in nitrous oxide conscious sedation and local anesthesia.
The day job: My passion is for periodontics, and my continuing education focuses on the systemic implications of periodontal disease. I work full-time at Old Orchard Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. I’ve been with this practice since graduation. They’re like family!
On the side: My other passion is health and wellness. In 2011, I became a certified personal trainer, and this year I am continuing my studies to become a certified nutritionist as well. Training clients and empowering others has given my life more balance.
About me: I’m a single mom of two amazing boys, Michael, 17, and Ryan, 14. My fiance, Jona, and I have been together for five years and are planning a small wedding later this year. I work out six days per week with a combination of weight lifting, cardio kickboxing, and yoga. Spending time with my family is always a top priority. I live for Michael’s rock band performances and Ryan’s football, basketball, and volleyball games. Traveling and photography are two of my favorite leisure activities.
