PennWell Dental Group Rotary Nickel Titanium Endodontic Files
A number of instrumentation methods are available for the shaping and cleaning of root canals during endodontic therapy. These include the use of hand instruments, rotary stainless steel instruments, rotary nickel titanium instruments, and sonic and ultrasonic instrumentation. Until recently, all except one (LightSpeed) have been manufactured by grinding. The newest introduction is a rotary nickel titanium file that is manufactured by twisting rather than grinding, offering different physical properties as a result.
