Forty years later, RDH is a living, breathing, and ever-changing brand representing a profession that is growing, transforming, and becoming more empowered each day. We have both been through the test of time and still stand side by side.
RDH has become the respected resource of information for every stage of the dental hygienist’s career. The brand provides content for the student, new graduate, daily clinician, and all expanded roles. Through the years, the decisions have been made to extend the reach of the RDH message through newsletters, websites, webinars, social media, and live events.
This year, RDH Under One Roof—Live will be held in Indianapolis July 22–24. To recognize the dental hygienist who doesn’t have time to attend a live event or who cannot travel, we have added a new segment to the conference, RDH Under One Roof—Extended. The Extended event will be hosted virtually on July 31 and will include an additional 8 CE credits. And, for dental hygienists who are dealing with burnout and looking for clarity in their career paths, RDH has created a program focused specifically for these individuals—RDH Evolution, hosted April 16–17.
Content in this month’s issue will fulfill the high standards you have become accustomed to. Articles include the second segment of the DSO Hygiene Excellence Diplomat Program for clinicians who are eager to learn more about the business aspect of dentistry and take their success to the next level. Anne Guignon, MPH, RDH, CSP, will increase our knowledge by sharing her insight on how far we have come in understanding the microbes that inhabit the periodontal pocket. Readers will acquire additional insights into career development, new technologies, updates on operatory skills as we continue to battle COVID-19, and a tribute to Patti DiGangi, BS, RDH, as she prepares to retire and plan her next chapter in life.
The RDH team would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support throughout the years.
Congratulations, RDH!
