The Fresh Breath Institute introduces the Bad Breath Detective, a self-test for chronic halitosis.

- The Bad Breath Detective consists of two tubes containing a culture medium and two sterile cotton-tipped applicators.

- The applicators are inserted into the mouth to collect tongue coating. The tips are then placed into the tubes and sealed.

- By timing the discoloration of the tips in the tubes, patients can gauge the severity of their chronic bad breath.

- For more information, contact the Fresh Breath Institute, 2389 Ringling Blvd., Suite C, Sarasota, FL 34237; (941) 957-4855.
