Placontrol Inc. and AlliedSignal`s Spectra Performance Materials introduces Tuffloss dental floss.
- The two New Jersey companies integrated AlliedSignal`s Spectra Fiber with Plackers Dental Flossers. The latter is a tool used for flossing teeth.
- Plackers with Tuffloss uses Spectra Fiber, which is used in bullet-stopping vests for law enforcement and military personnel and has the same molecular structure as a diamond. The companies said Plackers with Tuffloss eliminates the tendency of floss to fray and stick.
