6 In the October 1998 issue, RDH printed the results of a state-of-mind survey. Only 47 percent said they enjoy dental hygiene too much to ever consider leaving the profession, and 40 percent wished their next patient would look like George Clooney or Mel Gibson.

7 Dental hygiene students at Tulsa Community College offered a seasonal greeting in December 1998. The students did keep a straight face for most of the photos, but we liked the gaiety expressed in the merry photo used.
