As a student:She graduated from Pensacola Junior College in 1978. "I always loved going to work with my father. He was a dentist. I loved hearing his stories about his day and all the patients he saw. I guess it made the same impression on my brother as he later went on to become a dentist, and I went on to become a dental hygienist."
On a daily basis:She practices with her brother, Dr. Harold Brooks, at Vero Dental Spa in Vero Beach, Fla. RDH magazine donated this cover to the National Children's Oral Health Foundation to help raise funds for dental charity. Dr. Brooks successfully bid on the cover and chose his sister to be the cover model. She said, "Working at his practice has been magical the entire time. The passion he has for dentistry is beyond words. The things I love most about working for Dr. Brooks is that he is always on the cutting edge of technology. I have the newest equipment, visual aids, and advanced education."
About me:Norma and her husband, Ed, a dental lab technician, have two children, Lauren and Scott. Lauren recently graduated from the Broward College dental hygiene program, whille Scott is in the pre-dental program at the University of Florida. "We hope the children create their own brother-sister team one day."
