Eastman Kodak Co. has developed a method to en-hance diagnostic detail from extraoral film. The Ektavision Extraoral Imaging Film and Screen System creates two distinct radiographic images by keeping the light emitted by intensifying screens from "punching through" one emulsion layer on the film to another.

- The two images, in perfect register, provide image clarity and greater detail than traditional extraoral films.

- The Ektavision imaging system is especially suited for oral surgeons, orthodontists, and implant practitioners who require greater radiographic detail.

- The increased control of light prevents image degradation with an absorbing dye and thinner intensifying screens.
