Steven Perlman, DDS, MScD, DHL (Hon), has been a practicing pediatric dentist since the early 1970s. He joined the faculty at Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 1976 to teach pediatric residents how to treat patients with intellectual disabilities. He has since spent his career helping those with ID receive access to health care. Dr. Perlman serves as a global clinical advisor for Special Olympics.
