Shayna Sykes, MEd, RDH, has 20 years of experience in the dental field and seven years in dental education. She is a full-time assistant professor at West Coast University in Anaheim, California. Shayna holds a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and a master’s degree in advanced studies in cognitive science, with a focus on adult education, and is currently completing doctoral studies. Her areas of expertise include ethics, practice management, adult learning, and the development of future dental professionals through critical thinking and evidence-based education.
