As a student: She graduated from New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 2012 as part of a career change. She said, "I had a mid-life desire to change careers from architecture to a lifelong interest in dental hygiene. My goal was to become a dental hygienist by my 50th birthday, and I achieved that."

On a daily basis: She works in an endontist's office (Dr. Wayne Levine), a periodontist's office (Dr. Erich Wunsch), as well as with a general dentist (Dr. Peter Eng). "My training has enabled me to find work in a variety of dental offices. In the short time since I graduated, I've acquired additional skills and knowledge that enables me to be an integral part of so many varied dental teams, as I enjoy being able to wear a number of different hats during my time at work. I always keep myself busy during any downtime, and have been so lucky to work with such wonderful doctors and coworkers who were kind and patient in training me in each respective field."

About me: Her signficant others are her husband, Rob Prosser, her father, Robert Zieba, and her stepson, Andrew Prosser. In her spare time, Ann-Marie enjoys fishing and hiking with her husband, as well as "walking and drinking coffee with my dad, who is 84 years old." She also enjoys decorating cakes, such as the one created for the photo.
