Leigh Ann Lane is a native Texan, and the photographer and this month’s cover model headed to the Fort Worth Stockyards for the photographs. Lane, though, generally just rides herd on her four children. A veteran hygienist with 22 years’ experience, she said she focused on her career choice after working as a dental assistant during her senior year of high school.
“I am in practice for a wonderful, kind dentist — Dr. Jerry Dunn of Advanced Dental Care of Las Colinas,” Lane said. “We share a common approach to dentistry, and developing patient relationships is our number one priority.
“Our staff is a family, and we treat our patients like they are part of ours as well. It really is the most rewarding part of my career.
“We offer state-of-the-art services, and I am especially enthusiastic about our approach to preventing and treating periodontal disease. We are also currently investigating ways to incorporate laser dentistry into our practice as well. It’s exciting!”
She added, “I love the flexibile work hours that dental hygiene has offered. I’ve been able to maintain a deeply satisfying professional career, as well as fulfill my very important role as a mother.”
