Biora introduces Emdogain, a drug composed of enamel matrix proteins that initiates tissue regrowth after periodontal disease.

- Emdogain is applied in a gel form directly onto the tooth-root surface during periodontal flap surgery. The key component, amelgenin, is a structural protein naturally produced by the body during normal tooth development, as well as in supporting tissues.

- Emdogain is absorbed by the body, leaving only a residue of enamel matrix proteins on the debrided root surface.

- For more information, contact Biora Inc., 415 N. LaSalle St., Suite 615, Chicago, IL 60610-4530; (888) 246-7287.
