Supporting a healthier you

Infection control course at UOR helps limit exposure to potential occupational illnesses.

As oral health-care providers we are always doing for others - sometimes at the cost of our own safety and well-being. We find ourselves constantly putting the office's needs and/or patients' comforts ahead of our own. By keeping ourselves safe and healthy - now and in the long-term - we are better prepared to serve our patients and families.

Sign up and attend the workshop, "Sorting Through Infection Control Choices," presented by Cynthia A. Chillock, CDA, RDH, EF, and Charles John Palenik, DDS, MS, PhD, MBA. This energetic and knowledgeable team will help dental hygienists limit their risks for occupational exposure to patient body fluids, chemicals, and injury.

This interactive session at RDH Under One Roof is a MUST for practicing hygienists and will include hands-on activities and direct product comparisons. 2 CEUs - Course attendance limited to 75.

Minimally invasive dentistry

To amputate a tooth or not, that is the question. Sign up for the answer.

Can you be accused of recommending a tooth be amputated? Well, I am sure not unconsciously, yet some traditional restorative treatment recommendations support taking tooth structure away vs. preserving and or re-minimizing.

Shirley Gutkowski, RDH, and Emily Kinsell Berger, RDH, will be enthusiastically discussing the benefits of minimally invasive dentistry at the course titled, "Minimally Invasive Dentistry," on Saturday, July 23, at the upcoming RDH Under One Roof conference.

Past attendees to Shirley and Emily's course believe that this topic is a must for every hygienist, and minimally invasive dentistry is the future of hygiene.

This program will provide you with an integrated understanding of the concepts, clinical techniques, equipment, and materials you need to practice minimally invasive dentistry. 2 CEUs - Course attendance limited to 60.

Register by next Tuesday, May 31, and receive a free RDH Zippered Padfolio. Keep all of your conference notes and literature in one handy place. To register for Under One Roof go to www.rdhunderoneroof.
