As a student: She graduated from Grand Rapids Community College in 2005. She obtained a bachelor's degree from Ferris State University and is currently completing a master's in education from Western Michigan University. "I love to interact with people on a personal level and I always knew I wanted to do something in the health-care profession. I had a great opportunity to job shadow in the same dental office that I grew up in, and I had a dental hygienist who always had great things to say about the profession."

On a daily basis: In Grand Haven, she practices at the office of Smile Grand Haven/Little Smiles. She is also an adjunct instructor at Grand Rapids Community College. "I have witnessed life-changing experiences. I see my patients two to four times per year and really get to know what's important to each patient. I get to see people's mouths get healthier and see amazing transformations. Some of my patients gain more confidence, quit smoking, lose weight, and become more aware of their overall health. Everyone deserves to have a healthy smile!"

About me: I am married to Dan Holt and have two beautiful daughters, Addison, 5 years-old, and Payton, who is 4 years-old. I like to spend time with family and friends, run, work out, travel, go to the beach, and refinish old furniture."
