Dentsply International`s Preventive Care Division announces the JetShield Aerosol Reduction Device. Cavitron®, the leader in ultrasonic scaling and air-polishing technology, launches a new way to reduce spray during air-polishing procedures.
- The Jet-Shield™ uses the suction from a saliva-ejector system to reduce the spray by capturing and evacuating aerosols. Less spray means greater patient comfort and improved visibility while working. The JetShield is disposable and its design makes it easy to fit over the Cavitron® Air Polishing Nozzle. Setting up for the next patient is as simple as slipping it onto a sterilized nozzle. All the components required for installation on standard operatory equipment are supplied with a JetShield order.
