Angels are insulting

I took strong offense to the June 1998 cover. I know of no hygienist who would approach her employer to seek greater compensation for services provided with an attitude of begging. This is the message given to me by the hands folded in prayer and those silly feathered wings.

Dear RDH:

I took strong offense to the June 1998 cover. I know of no hygienist who would approach her employer to seek greater compensation for services provided with an attitude of begging. This is the message given to me by the hands folded in prayer and those silly feathered wings.

While hygienists are often at the mercy of what employers will provide for compensation, professionals certainly do not stoop to such antics to negotiate salary and benefits.

I suspect there are many RDHs who feel the same way. The other two hygienists in my office support this position.
