The golf clubs are not a prop. Anastasia Turchetta does enjoy the game and volunteered to pose on this California course while on a business trip there. But she is still working on hitting her favorite all-timeshot, or at least coyly avoids recollecting her favorite memory of the sport.

“I have not selected one course as my absolute favorite,” she said. “The most exicting thing is to sink a long putt to birdie or to save par and view the expressions of those who I’m paired with. Let’s face it, it is a game. No matter who you play with, there is a competitive aura in the air.

“My preference is to have my dad golf with me. He is the one who introduced me to this awesome, humbling game!”

Turchetta, who has been published in RDH and Dental Economics magazines, has been an author, speaker, and consultant since 2001. One of her passions is assisted hygiene, and carefully developed a protocol for the hygiene management system over a seven-year period. Why does she recommend assisted hygiene?

“View the expansion of the role of a dental hygienist and mirror it to the leader of the practice, the dentist,” she said. “If you believe your doctor provides optimum patient care working out of at least two treatment rooms, performs hygiene exams, etc., then you’ll begin to understand what assisted hygiene may offer when implemented correctly.”

She also consults with dental offices regarding employment law compliance, which prevents misunderstandings, improves morale which increases job performance, and reduces stress and staff turnover.” Her Web site is www.AnastasiaRDH.com
