Lori Stockert, RDH, BS, discovered an eager learner while visiting the Cleilland Wildlife Park in Adelaide Hills, South Australia. She handed the toothbrush to the koala bear at the suggestion of a guide. Stockert, who has been practicing for eight years in Silverdale, Pa., was a guest along with seven other U.S. dental professionals on a tour hosted by the Australian Personnel Placement Services. Besides exotic wildlife, the two-week tour last May included stops at Australian dental clinics and hygiene schools across the country.
