Bausch & Lomb Oral Care Division announced the winners of its Olympic Smiles Around the World Art Contest, displaying original artwork from nine young dental patients at the 1996 Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta.
- The winning children ranged in age from four to 17 years and were selected from a field of 1,450 entries.
- The grand prize winner was Kelli Cottello, 10, of West Allis, Wis.
- The artwork was displayed at Bausch & Lomb`s Olympic Smiles Dental Education Center for athletes in the Olympic Village and will be reproduced on commemorative posters.
- Two winners in four age groups were awarded prizes including Inter-plak Power Toothbrushes and Sega Genesis game systems. Bausch & Lomb also donated $15,000 for the "Special Athletes, Special Smiles" oral health initiative.
