Have you taken a long leave of absence? How long was it? What difficulties did you experience in deciding to leave the profession?

What prompted you to resume your career? In what ways did you notice that the dental hygiene profession had changed in your absence? What sort of preparation did you undertake to get ready for resuming work in dental hygiene?

Have you had any regrets about either leaving or returning to the workforce? If you encountered a former colleague who was contemplating returning to dental hygiene, what advice would you offer?
