Porter Instrument Company, Inc. recently introduced the Citrus Scented disposable mask liners for the Porter Scavenger System. Two other choices are available: autoclavable and single-use unscented. Porter masks are nonallergenic and contain no latex. The new Citrus Scented masks are white and sold in packs of 12.
The Porter Scavenging System is said to be the only system to utilize the double-mask system for increased efficiency and unmatched comfort. The outside mask offers a stable form, while the inside mask liner is malleable to mold to the patient`s facial contour for a tight seal. The Porter "double mask" system also prevents ambient air from leaking around the mask and ensures that the correct nitrous/oxygen mixture is being administered.
