The Gendex Dental Division of Dentsply International introduces the GX-LC Optical Positioning Systems, an accessory for the Gendex GX-770 intraoral X-ray unit.

- The system provides the operator with a focused beam of light incorporated into the cone, which assists in properly positioning the X-ray tubehead.

- The system was designed to improve positioning accuracy and eliminate the problem of cone cutting. Better imaging can be obtained while reducing the number of retakes, which, in turn, reduces unnecessary radiation.

- The GX-LC is installed by simply removing the standard 8-inch focal length cone and threading on the GX-LC. A 12-inch focal length model for paralleling techniques will be available in the future.
