Sunstar Americas, Inc. recently launched its G·U·M PerioShield Oral Health Rinse, as well as its PerioBalance Daily Dental Probiotic.The PerioShield Oral Health Rinse inhibits bacterial adhesion to tooth surfaces through its proprietary ingredient, delmopinol hydrochloride 0.2%, which not only prevents bacteria from forming the glucan/polysaccharide film necessary for adherence, but also disrupts existing plaque biofilm, making it easier to remove. PDT unveils furcation probes

Paradise Dental Technologies recently introduced two new ACE Furcation Probes, which feature a contra angle end for universal adaptation, allowing for easier access to all furcations. Mesial and lingual furcations can be properly charted and monitored. Both instruments feature the furcation probe on one end. However, one offers a UNC12 (1 thru 12 by 1mm) on the other end, and the other instrument features Probe 12 short (3-6-9-12) on the opposite end.

Pierrel introduces Orabloc to U.S. market

Pierrel Research USA, a subsidiary of Pierrel SpA, the Italian-based pharmaceutical services company recently announced the U.S. launch of Orabloc (articaine hydrochloride 4% with epinephrine 1:100,000 and articaine hydrochloride 4% with epinephrine 1:200,000). Orabloc is a more pure formulation of Articaine with epinephrine, an injectable dental anesthetic for routine dental procedures and oral surgery.
