Karen Gordon, DC, RDH, has been a dental hygienist for 20 years and is now teaching full-time in chiropractic medicine. She is originally from Jamaica and calls herself a certified nerd. She observed her colleagues and family members with back pain, and that motivated her to move in the direction of chiropractic. She uses her dental hygiene background to educate her chiropractic patients about TMJ issues and the oral-systemic link.

She is speaking at this year’s RDH Under One Roof conference on nano-hydroxyapatite. She says nano-hydroxyapatite is the underdog since we are not using it as much as we could in dentistry, especially from a preventive aspect.
