I had the opportunity to chat with Amanda Kundrod and Maddie Blythe about their hugely successful fundraising event to send the Westmoreland County Community College dental hygiene students to their board review.
Under the guidance of Amanda, their student advisor, Maddie worked with her fellow classmates and future dental hygienists to throw a Cash Bash fundraiser. They discussed many possible options and determined this would be the most successful for several reasons.
The result? Huge community support and enough money raised to send all 19 students to their board review.
They discuss all they did for the event, including what a Cash Bash is and why they chose it. They hope to encourage other dental hygiene advisors and students to think about doing something similar. It’s well worth the effort in many respects.
Watch for an article with photos about the event in RDH magazine.
