Insights behind the achievements of a successful dental hygienist
Debora Carrier’s dedication to innovation has been an enjoyable and challenging journey. She received the 2025 GUM/RDH Award of Distinction in the category of entrepreneur, and was happy to share her journey with her peers at RDH Under One Roof.
As an entrepreneur, Debora recognized the needs of her fellow dental professionals and filled the voids by founding two companies: Twice as Nice Uniforms and CPR Sisters.
She notes that the application process for the GUM/RDH Award of Distinction may feel a bit overwhelming because it takes a lot of time. But Debora encourages her peers to nominate someone they feel is worthy of the award, or to nominate themselves.
The process and the awards call attention to all the good dental hygienists contribute to the profession and their patients.
