Shannon Cogen, PHDH, MEd

Shannon Cogen, PHDH, MEd, is a public health dental hygienist with more than 30 years of experience in clinical practice and community-based oral health. Her professional work at Charlotte Community Health Clinic in North Carolina centers on medical–dental integration, preventive care models, and strengthening collaboration between dental and medical providers. Through her work in community health, she advocates for expanding the role of dental teams in early disease detection and improving overall population health.
