The Endeavor Business Media Dental Group is pleased to announce that, effective August 12, 2019, Jackie Sanders, MBA, RDH, is the chief editor of the RDH family of publications.
Sanders will also be contributing to and guiding the premier dental hygiene events RDH Under One Roof and RDH Evolution, as well as courses offered by the Dental Academy of Continuing Education.
“Jackie brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience as a practicing hygienist, and then her work as the manager of professional relations and communications at Sunstar Americas, where she coordinated educational programs within the dental industry,” said Craig Dickson, publisher for Endeavor's dental group. “I have known Jackie for more than 10 years. Her professionalism and enthusiasm for the dental hygiene profession has always impressed me."
Dickson added, “Jackie has worked in many facets with RDH magazine already. She championed the Sunstar/RDH Award of Distinction and also led the charge in developing RDH Evolution, a conference exploring career development.”
Sanders is the daughter of a dentist and has been working in the industry her entire life, from expanded duty dental assistant, to insurance specialist, to office management, to dental consultant. She went to dental hygiene school later in life and practiced clinically for 13 years before transitioning to a corporate role at Sunstar. During this time, she became widely known for her passion for helping dental hygienists achieve their goals and improve the health of their patients. She is now working in dental publications. “I have sat in all the seats in dentistry,” she said.
“Dentistry is changing, and the role of the dental hygienist is evolving into a multifaceted profession,” said Sanders. “I am honored to have the opportunity to work with Endeavor Business Media and the RDH team to provide content that will reach all facets of dental hygiene and assist with the progress of professional development.”
