As we look over our shoulder and reflect on the past year, we have many things to be thankful for. There have been high points as well as challenges that caused us to pause, then sparked growth and taught us how to find balance.

We at RDH are wrapping up the year with energized enthusiasm for 2023. This year has brought many positive changes, opportunities for professional growth, and a wealth of information to continue supporting you, our readers, and the dental hygiene community as a whole.

In 2023, RDH will continue providing the print and digital version of the magazine, weekly issues of RDH eVillage, and the monthly content via RDH Graduate.

Due to the increasing costs of paper and postage and a shortage of magazine printers, RDH magazine will be combining the January and February issues and the November and December issues in 2023. We chose this new schedule as we know over the holidays sometimes your priorities lie with family and friends. We want to thank you for you continued support of RDH magazine, as our circulation remains robust with our 70,000 subscribers.

In addition to the magazine and newsletters, we will be offering valued content through the recent acquisition of the A Tale of Two Hygienists podcast. Watch for a forthcoming announcement about an official RDH podcast where we plan to review content, meet the authors, and talk about what’s new with the magazine and associated events.

This month we will introduce you to the new RDH Advisory Board and begin spotlighting the new RDH Community Connection members. We have articles on patient care, professional development, and will continue highlighting content that supports oral-systemic health and broadening your skill set.

As we look forward to 2023, the RDH team embraces inspiration from the past and welcomes the growth and development of the future.

Wishing you a joy-filled holiday season.

Jackie Sanders, MBA, RDH
