The Greater New York Dental Meeting just completed its 81st Annual Session, and was again the largest dental meeting in the United States. Attendance reached a recorded 42,153 dental professionals, including 10,137 dentists and 1,652 visitors from 77 countries.
“These results confirmed the meeting’s stature in the international oral health community”, said Dr. Robert R. Edwab, the meeting’s executive director. The United States Department of Commerce designated the Greater New York Dental Meeting as its representative in the International Buyer Program. This signifies that whenever a dentist, manufacturer, supplier, or distributor of dental products questions any U.S. Embassy in the world about dentistry, they are referred to the Greater New York Dental Meeting. This is the only United States dental meeting that has this designation.
The unique four-day exhibit schedule and six-day educational program allows attendees to participate in the meeting and enjoy New York City during the festive Thanksgiving week. Attendees appreciate the ability to place orders at the start of the meeting and have them delivered directly to their hotel. This gives them the convenience of returning home with their purchases in hand.
Attendees were offered not only the largest exhibit floor of dental products and ground-breaking educational programs to choose from, but also had an array of New York City entertainment made available to them. The meeting is known to offer exciting NYC tours, Broadway shows, a children’s magic show and carnival, an annual black tie dinner dance, and celebrity speakers throughout the week.
Pictures in this article feature celebrity speaker and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the GNYDM exhibit floor, educational programs, and the dinner dance, which featured all-night entertainment and glowing tables. As Donald Trump has said, “New York City is the pinnacle. It doesn’t get any better than this!”
The meeting continues to be committed to attracting attendees to New York City. One unique policy in 2006 is that there will be no registration fee for all attendees from anywhere in the world who pre-register.
In 2006, the meeting will again be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. It is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 24 through Wednesday, Nov. 29, with exhibit dates Sunday, Nov. 26 through Wednesday, Nov. 29. Registration and hotel listings will be available after April 5.
