Kandice Swarthout feels like the GUM/RDH Award of Distinction, which was given for the area of research, represents her family, as she is the first person to graduate from college in her family.
The award also respresents her students, because Kandice enjoys working with dental hygiene students and hopes that she serves as a good example for them. And finally, the award for her represents human trafficking survivors, because this is Kandice's platform.
Tune in to hear what else Kandice has to say about the AOD.
