- ADA-accepted Opalescence® Tooth Whitening Gel is a patented, dentist-dispensed 10 percent carbamide peroxide solution worn in a soft, scalloped tray. The highly viscous, sustained-release gel stays in the tray during treatment, reducing the possibility of ingestion and gum sensitivity. Treatment is usually completed in less than two weeks when the tray is worn for eight to 10 hours at night. Flavors include regular, mint, melon and banana.
