Lustredent™ - home tooth-bleaching gel

A new patented and licensed home tooth-bleaching gel - Lustredent™ is available from Murphy Dental Supply Co. The product has a neutral pH, is water-based, and the active ingredient is 30 percent carbamide peroxide.

Only 5 percent of 1,200 patients tested reported to have transient pulpal sensitivity. Treatment time is 20 to 30 minutes, with results in as little as seven days. Lustredent™ is said to virtually eliminate the need for chairside bleaching.

Lustredent™ is sold in pods of four 5.5cc syringes with informed-consent patient instructions, laboratory instructions, a bottle of 2 percent neutral sodium fluoride, stent box, and an attractive drawstring tote bag for patient presentation and convenience.

Bulk sales are available. Other products include 10-, 15-, and 20-percent carbamide peroxide at-home, tooth-bleaching gels.
