Parkell Products introduces Pain-Free Desensitizer, a fast brush-on treatment for hypersensitivity.

- Pain-Free does not require acid etching of the tooth, a polymerization reaction, or application of unreacted monomers (all of which reportedly can irritate sensitive teeth).

- The mixture of one drop each of two liquids is gently rubbed against the sensitive surface using a cotton pledget. Calcium-seeking molecules graft to the hydroxyapatite on the surface of dentin and down tubule walls. The bonded molecules crosslink with other components in the Pain-Free emulsion to plug the tubules and prevent fluid movement that triggers hypersensitivity.
