Anesthetic Patch
Noven Pharmaceuticals announces a distribution agreement with Patterson Dental and Henry Schein for the DentiPatch, a lidocaine-based dental anesthetic patch. The patch minimizes the pain of oral injections and soft-tissue dental procedures.
- For procedures where DentiPatch can replace an injection, the hygienist can administer the anesthetic, thus saving the dentist time.
- The DentiPatch, which is the size of a small paper clip, is applied directly onto the palate or gums and offers safe, localized numbing.
- The DentiPatch takes effect quickly and is left in place for less than 10 minutes for most procedures. The numbing effect lasts for up to 45 minutes.
