While in school, Richard Robinson saw that a lot of the community didn’t understand the “why” behind oral health, mainly in underserved communities. He established the MY WHY nonprofit located in Little Rock, Arkansas, and also in Buford, South Carolina.

He and his team go into rural areas, schools … a little bit of everything … to educate young people and adults about oral health, oral cancer screenings, and more.

He says his biggest challenges are time and funding. His words of inspiration: Don’t strive for perfection; just do it!

Richard has been selected for the Award of Distinction in the new RDH program and will be attending RDH Under One Roof this year.
