Speaking with "the champion" of the periodontal endoscope
When the doctor Melanie Boyd worked for realized how much she knew about the periodontal endoscope, he invited her to take on a perio endo program in his offices.
She dove into the task and was humbled by how much she still didn't know about the instrument. But once she figured out how to use both hands and feet simultaneiously, it became her new favorite thing.
She wanted to bridge the gap between a blind SRP and perio surgery, which can be invasive. Now, as the founder of New Wave Perio, Melanie receives calls from dental practices to bring her equipment to their offices to treat patients and help them possibly avoid surgery.
Melanie now practices solo. Listen to what Jackie and she discuss and whether her services are right for your dental practice. She also shares the steps she took to form her own business.
