Dental Ventures of America, Inc. recently introduced two products for the one-step polishing of both ceramic and composite restorations. The formulas of the abrasive polishing pastes – Ceramo-Dotz ceramic polish and Compo-Dotz composite polish – are supplied in single-use pellets. The unused portion of a pellet is discarded to simplify the prevention of cross-contamination. This polishing compound is water-soluble and packaged in jars containing 60 individual application "dotz." Each jar is accompanied by three mini-polishing wheels for convenient use on a contra-angle handpiece.

Dental hygienists create board game
Two Nevada dental hygienists created Pass It!, which incorporates over 1,000 dental hygiene questions into a fun board game that will prepare any dental hygiene student for the board exams. Pass It! can be played in groups of two to four players. The information on the question cards are all culled from textbooks, board exam material, and hygienists' personal experience, and represent the most relevant information for board exam test-takers. Pass It! has been reviewed by the directors of dental hygiene schools across the country.
