How saying "yes" changed this hygienist's career path

If you're afraid to say "yes," think again. This RDH has had some interesting opportunities come her way, and she's approached them all with an open mind.

Rachel Finley Norwood strives to make a difference outside the operatory. She says she has a "heart" for working with seniors, and works and volunteers regularly in senior living communities. She's the founder of Instrumentalcize Brain & Body Fitness for "active agers."

When the senior living staff realized she was a dental hygienist, they asked her to make presentations to the residents about their oral health. She now also educates the caregivers who take care of the seniors about the importance of oral health.

Saying "yes" led Rachel on an career interesting path that she's glad she took. She recommends that her peers keep an open mind when opportunities come their way, especially if they aren't happy with their current situation. They just might find their next passion.
